ABOUT


What is Soul4Yoga?
​
Soul4Yoga offers yoga classes free of charge to any and all persons from all walks of life.
​
We believe that yoga should be available to everyone, regardless of age, income, gender, or physical ability.
​
All classes are taught by certified, experienced yoga teachers who are passionate about sharing the time-honored practice of yoga to anyone who wishes to learn.
What You Need to Know

There is no charge to attend.

Wear comfortable clothing.

If you have a yoga mat, block, or strap, please feel free to bring them.

You will need to sign a release. You can print and sign this copy or one will be available at the location.

We will accept donations from all who are able to give. All funds will be used to support the Soul4Yoga program.

Please leave your young children at home. We currently do not have child care.


How Can We Do This?

Soul4Yoga is the brainchild of Jennifer Austin. It is supported by Point Washington United Methodist Church, and by the generosity of our instructors.
We believe in the value of sharing our training with all persons interested in exploring the practice of yoga.
INSTRUCTORS

Jennifer Venable Austin
Founder, Soul4Yoga
Certifications: Hatha Yoga Instructor I, II, & III, Pilates Mat Class
Jennifer was born and raised in East Tennessee. She was an original member of The East Tennessee Children’s Dance Ensemble. She majored in Dance at The University of Tennessee. Her extensive dance training led her to New York City where, while working as a dancer, she began her training in yoga and pilates. Jennifer has studied Yoga and Pilates for over 38 years. She specializes in Hatha Yoga and Yoga for athletes and dancers. She continues to train in New York and Colorado, where she also teaches Yoga and Dance. She also trained in California and with NFL Yoga coordinator Baron Baptiste. She is certified to teach Yoga Internationally and trains resort staff in proper Yoga instruction for guest. She currently holds 3 Yoga certifications and two pilates certifications, including a 1500 hour certification obtained in New York City in 1998. She developed Karma Kids, an introductory yoga program for kids that is taught in summer camps throughout the country.
Jennifer is currently on staff for Texas Ballet; South Walton Dance Company; If I Had No Voice Dance Program, Panama City, Florida; and Arts In Motion, Kingston, Tennessee. She is a guest teacher at Alpine Dance Academy in Frisco, Colorado; and a master teacher and guest choreographer for Texas Ballet in Denton, Texas. Recently named outstanding educator 10 years in a row by Tennessee’s Governor’s School. She has been on staff at Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee. She teaches yoga specific for golfers and tennis players. Jennifer developed a Gentle Yoga class to address range of motion issues. This class was developed as an entry-level class, which focuses on gentle stretching and range of motion for anyone. This class is perfect for seniors, persons with injuries or in recovery, or persons wanting a slower Zen pace. Jennifer is able to teach three levels on Hatha Yoga from beginning to advance. She is on permanent staff at FitYourWay in Santa Rosa, Fla. where she teaches weekly when in the area. She is also a staff member at Foust Family Fitness, Kingston, Tennessee. She is very comfortable and loves working with teens and kids of all ages (ages 3 to 93). She is an avid downhill skier and hiker.

Lauren Rickelman
Lauren fell in love with yoga back in 2011 when a coworker convinced her to try it. She decided to become a yoga instructor so that she could share her passion with more people! She completed a 200 hour RYT in-person training course in June of 2014 at Evansville Yoga University. Since then, she also became certified to teach other yoga instructors, earning the E-RYT designation. She has taught more than 1500 hours of all types of yoga, to individuals, teams, and youth. She and her husband purchased a home here in Santa Rosa Beach, and split their time between sunny Florida and their hometown of Evansville, Indiana.
